About College
Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences was started in the year 1995. This college is a constituent college of University of Delhi and 100% funded by Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The college runs the following courses:
- B.Sc. (H) Biomedical Science
- B.Sc. (H) Computer Science
- B.Sc. (H) Electronics
- B.Sc. (H) Food Technology
- B.Sc. (H) Instrumentation
- B.Sc. (H) Microbiology
- B.Sc. (H) Physics
- B.Sc. (H) Polymer Science
In addition to the above courses the college is also running the following Certificate/short term courses:
- Certificate Course in Russian Language
Several students of the college have attained University positions in the annual examinations in the past.
The college has the following Clubs:
- Mountaineering and Trekking Club
- Dance Club
- Debate Club
- Dramatics and Fine Art Club
- Eco Club
- Film Club
- Music Club
- Yoga Club
- Astronomy Club
All the Departments of the college have their own society for the students. From time to time the college has been organizing multidimensional activities like literary, sports, cultural etc. The college conducts series of National Level Seminars and symposiums for the benefits of the students and the faculty. The college offers well-equipped and spacious laboratories, Computerized library, Conference Room, Amphitheatre, Audio-Visual Room, Sports Room and free Internet facility. Even though class room teaching and work in the laboratories have their share in the mode of instruction, personal interaction between students and teachers and among students themselves form an extremely important and lively medium of generation and transmission of knowledge. |
