Other Activities

Worked as Project Coordinator on MINDS (Mentoring in Delhi Schools) project under the UKIERI scheme which involved completing the pilot phase of the project during 2008-10. This involved the

preparation of a Handbook on Mentoring Teachers, conducting workshops on mentoring and supporting teachers in their mentoring work in 11 schools on an ongoing basis. The project is being scaled up now to include other schools in Delhi/other parts of the country.

Work on the English Language Proficiency Course (2008-12) has involved offering courses to students of Delhi University at different identified Centres at three levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Materials necessary for the course have been designed and proficiency tests are administered at the end of the course that assess all the four skills of the language. This year (2012-13) it is being offered in almost all constituent colleges of the University as an add-on course. About 150 teachers have so far been oriented to teaching and testing the course while materials and test development are ongoing.
